Eliza Jane
Sometimes when a life is taken suddenly, the spirit is not prepared to depart the mortal world and sthe deceased ends up in an eerie limbo between the mortal world and the after life while the spirit tidies up the unfinished business it perceives has been left unattended too.
That is exactly what has happened to poor Eliza Jane. She was whisked so quickly from the loving arms of her family that she isnt able to go peacefully on to the afterlife
Eliza Jane wanders the night unseen by mortal eyes; although she sticks mainly to the shadows, for even at her tender age, she knows that to be spotted unnecessarily by the living will surely prolong her limbo between stages. Night after night she searches for her mummy and daddy and Baby Flynn. She goes back again and again to the places she remembers, but unbeknownst to her several years have passed and her family are no longer there. They moved shortly after her death, tortured by memories and constant reminders of her heartbreakingly short life. But there is no way for Eliza to know how long it took for her to be processed after her death, time has no meaning beyond the restrictions of mortal life.
So on she wanders, sometimes thinking she catches a glimpse of her loved ones, only to find she is mistaken. She hugs her moldering teddy bear close, comforted by its presence, for although she sometimes sees other spirits in the same predicament as herself, mostly she is alone in her quest for closure. She hopes perhaps she will find her final resting place so that she might leave her family one last message.
Whether she finds her family or her grave, she wishes that she might find them soon, for she is tired now and Granny waits for her on the other side.
